 About the Author: Robert Harris Robert Harris HND, RMT is the director and senior instructor of the Dr. Vodder School-North America. Robert has a background in immunological research at the Max Plank Institute in Germany and holds a degree-equivalent in Applied Biology. Robert has dedicated the last 18 years to the practice of the Dr. Vodder method of MLD and the treatment of lymphedema, through clinical practice, teaching and directing the Dr. Vodder School program in North America. He trained at the Dr. Vodder Schule in Austria in 1984 and has been a certified instructor of MLD since 1987. He has translated and edited all of the Vodder MLD textbooks and has authored many articles on the Dr. Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage. He has lectured extensively at conferences in the USA (including the National Lymphedema Network Conference in 1994 and 1998), Australia (including the Australian Lymphedema Association conference in 1996, 1998 and 2000) and Canada on the Dr. Vodder method of Manual Lymph Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. Robert was elected as first president of the North American Vodder Association for Lymphatic Therapy and served from 1992 to 1994. He is a member of the International Society of Lymphology and serves on the Board of the Lymphology Association of North America. |
